The problem of chlorine

The large amount of chlorine matters, which is inside of tap water are changed into calcium Hypochlorite(HOCl) and have strong sterilization power in water.
These hypochlorites acid(HOCl) react with residual organic compounds in the water and is changed into a carcinogenic substance called trihalomethane(THM).
Residual chlorine(HClO) is a substance that has very strong oxidizing power, which causes abnormal fermentation in intestines by giving survival obstacles to remen microorganism coexisting in the human body.
In short, Chlorine is the material that has the power to destroy human cells by hindering the activity of enzymes in the body.


The damages from chlorine

When the residual chlorine touch skin, it destroys skin cell. especially, warm water can be absorbed a lot faster through skin pore.
According to American Science data, the amount of residual chlorine absorbed through pores of skin by bathing or taking a shower for 15 minutes is the same with drinking 1ℓ of unpurified water.

H2O(water) + Cl2(chlorine)→ Reaction → HClO(residual chlorine) + HCl(chlorine)
HClO(residual chlorine) + CaSO3(calcium sulfite) → CaSO4(calcium sulfite) + H+(Hydrogen ion) + Cl-(chlorine ion)
